Research Interests
Master´s thesis topic:
“Electrospinning of polymers with inorganic particles into hybrid fibers”
The main goal of the thesis is to produce a material system out of polymers (PMMA, PAN, CA) and inorganic particles (aluminium oxide) using the electrospinning process. Parameters for the electrospinning process are analysed and optimised to place notable amounts of inorganic material inside the polymer matrix. Aluminium oxide is only one possible particle for this process. Other inorganic particles like ion exchangers or adsorbent materials might follow.
